In the hustle and bustle of this fast paced urbane lifestyle, we have been loosing that little touch with our loved ones. Returning late from work or from a party has become a daily routine for us which we don’t even mind. But can you remember when was the last time you had dinner with your parents at home? We don’t think about those little things that are slipping away from us. Scroll down to read about some of the tips to make the most of the dinnertime at home.
Fix a timing
You know even Bachchan’s have at least one meal a day together whenever the whole family is in town. If they can make it in their busy schedule to fix a timing or a meal, I am sure even we can. Unless, you are a pilot and obviously flying back and forth to Dubai just for a meal might cost you your liver.
Once a week, trying coming before hand and help your parents cook that delectable dish of the night. Prepping is more fun and you get to spend a lot more time than before. You even get to learn from your favourite Chef.
No Phones Allowed
Make it a strict rule that none of you will be using your phone during that interval. Interact with each other, know about what is happening in each other’s lives. Share one good thing that happened that day. This will make the environment happy and lively.
Start a Book Club
If you have a habit of reading or have been wanting to read something for a long time but don’t have time, try starting a book club with your family. It will keep you entertained as well.
