Akshay Kumar announced on 19th January at a Press Conference that he will pushing the dates for the release of his much anticipated film for this year, Padman that was supposed to be out in the theatres on 25th January, to another date.
Wondering why the industry’s most intelligent and explicit mind decided to do so? Well, after the whole controversy around Padmavati, Sanjay Leela Bhansali went ahead and announced that they will release the film on 25th January, 2018 with a new name, Padmavat and some VFX for Deepika’s waist (Watch the Ghoomar song again). Realising the stake to compete against Padman which is a new Superhero movie, Sanjay asked Akshay Kumar to postpone its date and to leave the 26th January long weekend for Padmavat.
Akshay Kumar announced the same at a PC held at his house on 19th January and also that his fans don’t need to be disheartened as Padman will be out in theatres on 9th February.
